Looking back at 2nd year 2nd sem - Part 1

Hi everyone!
How have you all been doing?

On my side, I changed a lot, I think... I mean, really... "WOW! Time flies so freaking fast!" and another semester has gone by the wind! But of course I kissed it as it flew.. There's no way I would just let it go just like that...yeah, just like that..coz I'm treasuring every moment I have with them, here, and now..

So, let's look back what we've done! Wait let me check my organizer back!

Haha! Okay, that's alot.. but let's just sort out what I could remember most!

Rumah Juara Orphanage Social Visit
A joint event of Monash Buddhist Society (MBS) and TarraBuddY (Nusantara Buddhist Youth).
As a first-timer programmer, I could tell, It was not easy to hold an event, especially involving a lot of people. We had problems that are solved with sweat and tears and sacrifices.

Lucky thing, I had a great team: Alex, Rifin, Jennifer, See Lip, Sujata, and our helpful supervisor: Pei Hao! It's a small team I could say for such an event, that's why we're a bit out of breaths finishing our targets for this event.

THE AWESOME COMMITTEES! =D

And nothing else are more rewarding than to see the smiles and laughter from these little ones, seriously all those tiredness, lamentation, complaints are all GONE!

Happiness ^^

...and not to forget seeing the joy of sharing and compassion shining through from these sporting participants! You guys are awesome! the children just loved lingering around you! =')

The girls and their hair! BFF since young! hahaha! xD

The boys and piggy-back! =D

Group Photos! =)

Good job, everyone! Let's make it annually! =D Yes! I said it! ;)

Flying Without Wings - Annual Charity Event by MUMedS
Planned to watch and support Grace singing for the event only initially, but turned out being the target of the splash! Oh well, it's for charity! =D

HLY, Y U!!! haha xD

And oh! I got my first Henna that day! but I did it straight after I was splashed to pool of water, so I think it didn't turn out good, but still it's pretty!

pretty Henna!

Back to school, we learned a new system of learning: PBL!
If you wonder what PBL is, it's Problem Based Learning: usually simulated cases are given to medical students and these are their exercises to use their clinical skills to make clinical decisions for the simulated patients. Decisions are discussed. This year, us, pharmacy students too adopt PBLs, and I fully support it! =D

Examples of PBL cases

i.gemz in Action!
Yeah, being a newcomer is never easy, but I'm lucky these people are so friendly and supportive.

Ganbatte, i.gemz! We can revive! =)

Being in i.gemz, I learned a lot of things like how to place myself, how to sing my heart out, not my head out - the most important thing that I seemed to forget since I started to take vocal classes a year ago. I will write my journey with i.gemz so far in another post, because I think it's gonna take long! =)

Anyway, here is one the performances videos:

Just BEAUTIFUL, rite? =')

My 21st Birthday
It's gonna be one of the most historical day of my life!

First thing when I reached school! I felt so much LOVE =')

and it's the sweetest... ever...

1st surprise: Flower bouquet, special thanks to Amelia, Eunice, U Jean, Jue Lee, and Lip Yong... especially Amelia, I know she's the one who came out with the idea and fold the flowers patiently.. =')

Mrs. Carol's appearance, and us at the stairs!

I owed this people , man... really.. =') These people made me cry with tears of joy...

Reading Love letters from Australia.. =') and another surprise awaited me from the key!

Sweetest ever! They really knew me well, how I like sweet things.. =') Thank's to my babes at Aus! and everyone here too!  x.o.x.o

Lunch time! And out of my expectation, they took me to a vegetarian restaurant. Thank you so much, guys.. it means so much to me! Honestly, I'm not a pure vegetarian, I just prefer the way of vegetarianism. And it made my day, just PERFECT... yeah, perfect.. =)

girls and boys with the flowers

U Jean also celebrated her 20th birthday! =)

My lovely friends, thank you so much for giving your time for me.. =')

bday girls and their bday cake.. =)

Another surprises! A key, it's a simple, beautifully designed pendant. I never thought I could get one, because I didn't even know such tradition exists! Ha-Ha! but what made me cried the most is: ...

What made me cried the most:
It's written inside the cards,
"Dear, people might not have known about your 17th birthday, but we'll be right by your side today & always =)"
='( I remembered I told them that 17th birthday was really something back in my home country, not the 21st, but sadly no one really knew about the big 17th birthday of a just-moved-in girl. Honestly, I've never really been thrown a party. Looking at friends being thrown many birthday bash around the street, I just dreamed and sighed.. Ha-Ha! WTH am I talking about? Ha-Ha..

My point is those sentence just pierced  right through my heart and hit my emotional button. Thank you, all of you. =') Now you know why I treasure these people so much..

Yes! We did the flower tradition! Lovely-Dovey Atmosphere is in the air! ^^

Thank you my friends! You guys are more than just course-mates, for sure! =)

I came back, and my childhood friend, Lucy asked me out on a date!  =D

Lucy's bf came out out of the blue and brought a bday cake out! so sweet of this couple! =)

And midnight surprise from my pre-U friends ended the day! Thank you, babes! Look at how much we've grown! Thank you for always being there for me.. =)

What a fairy-tale!
I Felt like singing Today was a fairytale! Thank you so much, everyone for making my birthday a meaningful one, a my kind of perfect one! =)
Not to forget phone calls from Mom, Dad, Ming, Jie, Amelia, Eunice, cards from Hostel Gang! =)
and all wishes which came from fb, texts, etc.. =)

PS. notice the first picture when I'd just arrived at school, holding my phone? That's a call from my sis! =)

and Oh! I almost forgot! Few days afterwards...

Thank you! ^^

-That's all from now, because I just got a job! I don't think I can burn midnight oil to finish this post at 1 go! Wish me luck everyone! =) Have a nice holiday! =)
